Are you fun of hiking? Hiking is an outdoor activity that involves walking while enjoying nature and its formations. It depends on the area one chooses to visit and could include mountaineering which is made up of trekking and climbing mountains. It is a popular activity for people all over the world owing to the health benefits and one does not need any special abilities or talents to engage in it. What is the difference between trekking and hiking? Trekking is between hiking and mountaineering regarding difficulty. Although it's more similar to hiking. The difference being that treks are longer than hikes. Alternatively, when trekking in some locations, you may have the option to stay at small lodges, mountain huts or even bed and breakfasts along the way. Cheap hike you want? well, two trees peak is here for you to experience a short and cheap hike. It is the most visited place in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. Two trees can be viewed from the back of the Bukidnon Provincial Capitol. It can be reached easily for atleast 30-45 minutes of early morning hike. The short-cut entrance is at Gawad Kalinga Village near the Capitol Grounds. They named it Two Trees because of the certain part of a hill in which only 2 tall trees stand visible in one tree.
How to get to Two Trees? First, you have to plan it with your family and friends on what to bring or prepare. Prepare your Gear; technically, hiking doesn't require any special clothings. Just wear any comfy hiking shoes and comfy trousers, hiking pants, or long shorts that do not clinch your waist in tightly, and which are stretchy enough to bend with you as you climb up steps or over rocks. Your clothing should protect you from any plants with thorns and stray branches along the way. They should also keep your body cool and ensure that you do not suffocate due to the hot weather. You will need to carry along some gear for your hike depending on how much time you plan to spend outside. While most of these things will help you on the expedition, try to minimize them and keep your pack as light as possible. Just carry the essentials which are water for hydration, some snacks to keep your sugar levels high, first aid kit and any other thing that you think will come in handy. One of the interesting facts about hiking is that, it is good for our health. Hiking can be considered to be a powerful cardio workout that has the potential. It helps reduce your risk of heart disease, stroke, improve your blood pressure and your blood sugar levels, boost your bone density, since walking is a weight-bearing exercise. Build strength in your glutes, quadriceps, hamstrings, and the muscles in your hips and lower legs.
